Update: Passaic Valley Water Commission Issues Boil Water Advisory for Sections of Clifton and Paterson

(Passaic County, N.J. – June 19, 2024) – Due to a water main break, Passaic Valley Water Commission (PVWC) has issued a boil water advisory for residents and businesses in Clifton and Paterson, specifically in these areas:

  • Clifton/Paterson: Lakeview Ave from Maryland Ave to W 3rd St
  • Clifton/Paterson: Marshall Street / Kuller Rd
  • Clifton: Route 46 (Piaget Ave)
  • Paterson: 21st Ave going east to E 26th St

 

This advisory is effective immediately and will remain in place until further notice.

Immediate Actions Required:

  • Boil Water Before Use: All water for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, and washing dishes should be brought to a rolling boil for at least one minute. Allow the water to cool before using.
  • Alternative Water Sources: Please use bottled water if boiling is not possible.

Reason for Advisory:

The advisory is a precautionary measure to ensure the health and safety of our community, our top priority.

PVWC crews are actively working to address the issue and restore normal water service. We are conducting thorough testing and will provide updates as they become available.
