(Passaic County, N.J. – June 20, 2024) – Due to a large water main break yesterday, Passaic Valley Water Commission (PVWC) issued a boil water advisory for residents and businesses in Clifton and Paterson, specifically in these areas:
- Clifton/Paterson: Lakeview Ave from Maryland Ave to W 3rd St
- Clifton/Paterson: Marshall Street / Kuller Road
- Clifton: Route 46 (Piaget Ave)
- Paterson: 21st Ave going east to E 26th St
PVWC anticipates repairing the water main today. However, the advisory remains effective and will remain in place until further notice. To support its customers in Paterson and Clifton affected by the boil water advisory, PVWC established a water distribution site (details below).
Distribution Site Details for Residents in the Impacted Areas:
- Location: Southside Firehouse located at 130 Getty Ave, Paterson, NJ 07503.
- Time: Affected residents can pick up water (one case per household), today only, until 7:00 p.m.
- Bring Valid ID: Valid ID showing your address must be presented to confirm you are in the impacted area.
Immediate Actions Required:
- Boil Tap Water Before Use: All water for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, and washing dishes should be brought to a rolling boil for at least one minute. Allow the water to cool before using.
- Alternative Water Sources: Please use bottled water if boiling is not possible.
