ATTENTION CLIFTON RESIDENTS – NOTICE OF FLUSHING OF WATER MAINS

As part of our ongoing efforts to improve service to our customers, Passaic Valley Water Commission will continue its Valve Maintenance and Flushing Program in the section of Clifton that is bounded by Broad Street, the border of Montclair, Valley Road and the border of Paterson. Customers along Kuller Road and Hazel Street may also be affected.

Water mains will be flushed on consecutive days, beginning Monday, September 10, 2018, and is anticipated to be completed in about 4 weeks.

The water mains will be flushed weekdays with a combination of daytime and nighttime work between the hours of 9:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M during the day and 9:00 P.M. and 4:00 A.M. at night. There may be some unavoidable water discoloration and low pressure at any time during the 4-week flushing period.

Passaic Valley Water Commission assures all customers that the water will be safe for use during this period; however, customers are cautioned to determine if the water is clear before washing clothes (or any other processing) as staining may occur.
