The Passaic Valley Water Commission is committed to providing our customers with high quality water and service. As part of our on-going improvement program, we are cleaning, lining, replacing, testing and disinfecting approximately 10,100 linear feet of 8 and 12-inch diameter water mains along Valley Road from St. Philips Drive to Frederick Avenue.  Work will begin on or around September 17 and will be completed by December 2018. Please note that parking and access may be restricted for limited times at these locations.

We will make every effort to maintain your normal water service at all times. If your property is connected to the water main being cleaned and lined or replaced, you will receive water service through a temporary main. Our contractor, J. Fletcher Creamer, will need access to the property in order to connect your water service to the temporary main. Please verify that all personnel have Contractor identification badges issued by PVWC before you allow them to enter your property.

Water service to all customers will be maintained throughout the project and will be safe for use. There may be, however, some unavoidable water discoloration and low pressure at any time during the project period. Customers are therefore cautioned to determine if the water is clear before washing clothes (or any other processing) as staining may occur.

PLEASE WATCH YOUR STEP

Our Contractor must dig in the street in order to clean and line water mains and replace gate valves. Temporary mains will also be run along the curb. Please watch your step and ask your children not to play in the work areas.

INCONVENIENCE IS TEMPORARY – IMPROVEMENT IS PERMANENT

We understand that this project may cause some inconvenience. We will make every effort to minimize the disturbance and will work closely with local police and officials to reduce traffic problems.
