“Good Morning America” and “Nightline” recently ran a story about utility impostors. In the story, reporters go undercover posing as utility workers to see how many residents will allow them into their homes.

Recognizing a PVWC Employee & Vehicle:

There are three ways to be sure that someone who says they’re from Passaic Valley Water Commission really is from the Commission:

1. ID Badge
   All Passaic Valley Water Commission personnel are required to wear a photo ID badge that is clearly visible and to show it to you on request.
2. Uniform Shirts
   All Passaic Valley Water Commission personnel who visit your home will be wearing a uniform shirt with the Passaic Valley Water Commission logo.
3. PVWC Vehicle
   Anyone who comes to your home from Passaic Valley Water Commission will arrive in a Passaic Valley Water Commission vehicle with our distinctive logo.
